I'm in the process of revamping my HTML offerings to take advantage of HTML 5 and CSS 3 as well as incorporating the new features to be found in this years Adobe CS 6 Suite. If you require some quick and customized HTML, CSS or Flash training please contact me and we'll work something out.
- Decoding Owners Manuals
- These sessions are 1 to 2 hours in length and cover what the controls and modes on your camera actually do. Point and shoot or DSLR. Bring your camera and an empty memory card. Your place or mine or somewhere in between.
- The Basics
- Targeting DSLR users this allows includes users of the more advanced point and shoot models, such as the Canon G12, Nikon P7100 and the Fuji X100 models. We'll cover the fundamentals of photography; composition, white balance, aperture and shutter priority and program modes, tips and tricks. Approximate time is 4 hours. Bring your camera and expect to take plenty of shots.
- Digital File Management and Workflow
- This is near and dear to my heart. Years of computer experience on Mac and Windows as well as teaching at both the college and university level coupled with my own personal disasters have made this important to me. Regardless of the operating system you're on we will cover workflow options (getting your images from camera to computer to backup copies), back up choices, file management and programs. Time for this will run upwards of 3 hours.
- Apple Aperture / Adobe Lightroom - Level 1
- I'm a certified Apple Aperture Pro and love the program. You learn file management, meta tagging your images, image manipulation, colour correction, and various visual effects. You'll need the program. You're place or mine, bring your laptop. Length: 4 hours
- Apple Aperture / Adobe Lightroom - Level 2
- In the follow up to Level 1, we'll explore the more complex and powerful editing and exporting options to Aperture/Lightroom, working with Photoshop as well as the power of plug ins. I'm a huge fan of the the Nik Software plug ins for Aperture and Lightroom, we'll explore their power and options. Length: 4 hours
